Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation
A structured, whole-person assessment to clarify diagnosis and design a tailored treatment plan.
At SHIELD Psychiatry, our psychiatric evaluation is a comprehensive, structured assessment designed to gain a complete understanding of an individual’s mental health and create a personalized care plan.
We integrate clinical history, current symptoms, strengths, family and school context, and—when indicated—medical and substance use screening. This whole-person approach helps us distinguish primary conditions from contributing factors and ensures precise, compassionate treatment.
The result is a clear diagnostic formulation and an individualized roadmap that may include therapy, skill-building, medication management, and school or workplace recommendations.

Second-Opinion Psychiatric Evaluation
Clarity, confirmation, and fresh insights when diagnosis or treatment remains uncertain.
A second-opinion evaluation offers a fresh, in-depth review of an individual’s mental health diagnosis and treatment plan. It can provide reassurance, new insights, or alternatives—especially when prior treatments have been ineffective or the diagnosis remains unclear.
At SHIELD Psychiatry, our expert clinicians conduct a comprehensive, evidence-based assessment to ensure diagnostic accuracy. Our goal is to clarify your path forward and develop a treatment strategy that supports your mental health needs with confidence.

Personalized Safety Planning
Proactive, evidence-informed plans to help individuals and families navigate suicidal thoughts, self-harm urges, severe anxiety, or emotional distress.
At SHIELD Psychiatry, we offer comprehensive safety planning to help individuals and families prepare for and manage periods of heightened risk. While we do not provide immediate crisis stabilization, our telehealth services focus on prevention—equipping you with a personalized, practical plan you can use when distress intensifies.
Your plan is collaborative and strengths-based, integrating coping skills, environment adjustments, and clear next-steps so you’re never left guessing what to do in the moment.
