When to Seek Emergency Help

Go to the emergency room or call 911 if your child is experiencing:

  • Suicidal thoughts, plans, attempts, or new self-harm behaviors
  • Extreme aggression or violent behavior
  • Severe panic attacks or uncontrollable anxiety
  • Hallucinations, delusions, or severe paranoia
  • Drug overdose or severe reaction to medication

Non-Emergency Support

  • Request an appointment with SHIELD Psychiatry (telehealth across Florida).
  • Contact your child’s pediatrician or primary care clinician.
  • Reach out to your school counselor for local resources.
