When to Seek Emergency Help
Go to the emergency room or call 911 if your child is experiencing:
- Suicidal thoughts, plans, attempts, or new self-harm behaviors
- Extreme aggression or violent behavior
- Severe panic attacks or uncontrollable anxiety
- Hallucinations, delusions, or severe paranoia
- Drug overdose or severe reaction to medication
Non-Emergency Support
- Request an appointment with SHIELD Psychiatry (telehealth across Florida).
- Contact your child’s pediatrician or primary care clinician.
- Reach out to your school counselor for local resources.
