Meet Dr. Marie Akers
Dr. Marie Akers, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, PPCNP-BC, PMHS is a triple board-certified pediatric and psychiatric nurse practitioner and the founder of SHIELD Psychiatry PLLC. She provides concierge-level, culturally responsive mental health care for children, teens, and young adults across Florida.
With 20+ years of experience in pediatric neurology, developmental-behavioral care, ADHD diagnostics, autism support, and evidence-based treatment for anxiety and depression, Dr. Akers helps families move from overwhelm to stability with clarity, structure, and compassion.
